We don't have a creed other than Christ. We don't have a book other than the Bible. And a declaration of faith is as simple as, "I believe in Jesus as the Christ the Son of the Living God and I accept Him as my personal Lord and Savior." But, you don't even have to believe to come and to be a part of our gatherings. All are invited.
What is it like?
- Sunday mornings
- Beverages and baked items are served beginning around 8:30 a.m. for those who like to arrive early for church. This is a time of fellowship and care, as we get to know each other and catch up on our week.
- If you are an inquisitive person, you'll likely appreciate our adult group that meets at 8:30 a.m. in the Conference Room. This group discusses the Scripture that will be preached on in worship. It is an open format that allows all participants to ask questions and dig deeper.
- Our worship service begins at 9:45 a.m. and runs about an hour in length. It includes songs led by piano or organ. Often during the school year our choir sings or there is special music. An elder and our pastor each lead us in prayer. There is a children's message. Then there is a sermon about 10 to 20 minutes in length. The heart of our service is meeting at the communion table where all who have faith in Jesus Christ are welcome to partake. Towards the end of each service there is a brief stewardship related devotion, but we don't collect an offering during the service - so as a guest, you don't need to worry about someone passing you a plate or basket to put money in.
- Wednesday afternoons/evenings
- Wednesday evenings our members and neighbors gather for a meal that is partially planned by a team and cooked in our church kitchen and partially potluck. There is no cost the first time you eat with us and no pressure to sit with us, unless you want to. The regular cost of the meal is less than fast food. Following dinner children and youth are invited to youth group and adults are invited to the choir, to help clean up, or during certain seasons to join a small group.
What about my kids?
- Nursery for little ones is available during our Sunday worship service.
- Sunday School is offered for students from 9 - 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
- We offer programming for preschool through 12th grade on Wednesday evenings and occasional fun events throughout the year.
- Most children and youth activities take place in our north hallway.
- Our Safety Policy is available upon request.
Where do I park?
- There is a grand parking lot on the south side of our building - as seen from C Avenue.
What do I wear?
- You are welcome to come in what feels comfortable to you. Most people wear business casual - although wearing a tshirt supporting your favorite team happens on occasion!
How can I get connected?
- NO RSVP is required for worship or other activities.
- Our pastor would love to take you out for coffee/tea or ice cream sometime. You can email her at pastor@noelridgechristian.org
